Prelude to a Wedding

I mentioned in my last post that we were in Arkansas for a wedding, but I didn't reveal whose wedding it was.  Those of you who know me well have probably heard a Tab story or twelve.  Tabitha Wilson is the little girl who I count as my first baby.  I was 11 when she was born and I started babysitting her so soon after that that my mom had to supervise me the first few times.  I absolutely fell in love with the child from the first moment that I held her and we share so many wonderful memories of times we have spent together through the years.  It was such a privilege to watch her grow from a spunky little girl into a spirited young woman.  I should also mention that her mom and dad pretty much adopted me and were fantastic spiritual mentors and living examples for me of what a Christ-centered marriage and approach to parenting looks like.  Though we never get to spend enough time together, I love these people with all my heart.  When Tab asked if the girls could be in her wedding I knew that we would go to the end of the earth for it if we had to.  Luckily the resort that she chose for the ceremony wasn't all the way at the end.

Cille was a flower girl but Tab wanted to make sure that she felt like she was a big girl and was included, so she made a spa appointment for Cille to have a manicure with the bridesmaids...
Cille thought she was hot stuff...
Cille and the blushing bride...
Stella was a junior bridesmaid and got the royal treatment, too...
Tab entertained the flower girls with the iPad while we waited for Stella to finish up...

Whoo! Fancy...
Angie knows that Damon is a little particular about his camera so she made sure to snap a few selfies to surprise him...
Helllloooooooo!
When it was time to get ready for the ceremony we went to Pop and Nana's condo where the girls rocked their personalized wedding colored silk robes.  Nana seriously thought of every tiny detail for this shindig.  She should go into business putting on weddings.  This was the most well thought out event I have ever attended...

How cute are these girls?

Charlie's Angels?
All dressed up and ready to go...
You can take the girl out of LaPlace, but you can't take the LaPlace out of the girl.  My kids don't normally rock Under Armour underneath their formal wear, but the wedding was outdoor and it was seriously cold that day...

Cille was a little bit excited...

I love this one...
Next up, more wedding fun...
