The Graduate

Remember this?  The first day of Pre-K was a very exciting day for us all.  It's hard to believe the year of learning and growing is already over!  Cille had a wonderful night celebrating her Pre-K graduation...
Grandma Tonie and Grandpa Crane traveled down for the ceremony...
Watts was happy that M&M's were on the menu at the reception...

Mawmaw Shirley was there to support Cille as well...

The proud graduate...

This is the young man that Cille identifies as her "boyfriend"...
Stella loves Cille's friends, too...
This is Cille's former "boyfriend."  His mother and I are hoping that there might still be a spark between these two, mostly because we like to hang out together and will both make excellent mothers-in-law one day...
Siblings and friends celebrating success together!
Congratulations, Cille! We are proud of all your hard work this year in Ms. Dolly's class.  We can't wait to see you in your big girl uniform this fall.

Scholarship Nominee

We were surprised and delighted to find out that Stella was nominated for the Brother Bob Anderson Scholarship at school this year.  She was nominated in the kindergarten through second grade category.  The nominees are chosen by their teachers based on their spiritual and academic growth throughout the school year, as well as their embodiment of the qualities a model PBS student should exhibit.  While Stella did not win the scholarship, we were ecstatic that her teachers recognized these positive traits in her...
Mawmaw and Pawpaw attended chapel with us to see Stella receive her certificate...
As parents, we try to instill Christ-like character traits in our children, but many times it feels like we are falling short.  It was so nice to get this affirmation from an outside source that when our kids are away from us they are not always acting like total heathens.

Congratulations, Stella!  We are very proud of you!

Corinne's First Big Girl Bath

Continuing her big half-birthday celebration, Corinne decided to take her first big-girl bath.  She invited her brother to join her so he could show her the ropes of personal hygiene...
Pourciau fun fact: Cille got this bath seat as a gift for her first Christmas...
She looks a little underwhelmed, but trust me, she loved it...

Corinne's First Food

May 13th was also a very big day for Corinne!  It was her half-birthday!  I can't believe she is 6 months old already.  We celebrated with her first taste of rice cereal...
It's delicious!

Watts was a little incensed that Corinne was sitting in "his" chair, so we let him and the rest of the siblings help out with the first feeding to appease him...

Corinne did a great job with her food and managed to make very little mess.  Now if we can just teach the other three this skill...

Our Tiny TOT

Cille continued to work hard in her TOT basketball program and finally it was time for the end of the year Shine Time Super Show!  Everyone was very excited.  Preparing for the program was apparently exhausting...

Curb your enthusiasm, Cille...

She gets her ball handling ability from her mother...

She was really excited about that trophy!
I wish I could get this excited over something...
She is hilarious...

Even her sister was so proud!
Great job, Cille!
