Another Party!

A week after celebrating with Ella, we put our party hats on again and helped some of our favorite cousins celebrate Cade's 7th birthday! Here is the birthday boy blowing out his candle...
And Stella taking a "big Pawpaw bite" of cake and ice cream...
I think she was pretending to be Little Jack Horner in this one...
And the aftermath of her sugary snack.  How hyper do you think she was?
Looks like a real cheerleader, huh?  Go Tigers!
While Stella was running wild, Cille was cuddling with Selena...
Such sweet cousins!  Anna and Stella took a second out of their playtime to pose for me...
Thanks for inviting us, Cade! We had a great time and we love you so much! Happy Birthday!

Party Time!

How do you know school is back in session at the Pourciau house? The blog posts come to a virtual standstill! In spite of our blog silence, we have had a pretty busy September. We have all been working hard, but you know we only do that so that we can play hard, too. A few weeks ago we loaded up and partied all the way over to Breaux Bridge to wish our friend Ella a happy birthday.  Her daddy was concerned that no one was enjoying the bouncer.  Stella was happy to help him get his money's worth...
She really loved Ella's cake...
This was the best picture that I could get of Stella with the birthday girl.  Since Ella was turning 3 and Stella is 2 and a half now, posing together is not really their thing...
Stella also enjoyed playing on Ella's swingset...
In fact, this is how she looked when I told her it was time to go.  Tears were shed before I was actually able to extract her from the swingset.  I won't reveal which one of us shed the tears...
Happy Birthday, Ella! Thanks for inviting us to your fun party!

Fashion Statements

On her blog my friend Laura recently encouraged parents to post pictures of the crazy outfits that their toddlers put together.  I was finally able to grab the camera and capture a couple of Stella's runway-ready ensembles.  First up, her "Mean Lady" outfit.  That's what she calls the evil queen from Snow White.  She used the armrest protector from the sofa as her headpiece, and completed the look with an "I Love Daddy" bib (of her sister's), a gingham dress, polka dot pants, my dress shoes, and a noonie....
A few days later she was back in dress-up mode, preparing for some equestrian activities in a sensible leotard, accompanied by boat shoes, a noonie, and an evening clutch...

Move over, Stella McCartney. There's a new Stella ready to take the fashion world by storm!

Our 6 Month Old...Duck

Stella and Daddy fed Baby Bird and some of her friends a few days ago...

In case you don't remember how tiny Baby Bird was when she first came home, check out this post.  And in case you are wondering how we can tell Baby Bird from every other bird on the block, she has a dent in her chest that the other ducks don't have.  She also lacks the healthy fear of man that the other ducks do have.

3 Months Old

Cille turned 3 months old today!  Here are some pictures of our little cutie on her quarter-birthday...

Oil spill? What oil spill?

BP may be the best thing that has ever happened to Grand Isle.  I am telling you, the beach is PRISTINE!  We had such a great time!  Here is a shot of the snazzy sign on the way into town...
Here is my beach babe, heading for the waves...

And my beach baby, taking a little nap in her stroller.  This was Cille's first time on the beach...

The big girls spent some time making sand castles...

Stella ended up with a little bit of sand on her...
She loved running through the surf...

And even grabbed a board in hopes of catching a wave...

Cowabunga!

What a natural!  We should move to Hawaii...
Check out that splash!
She found a bamboo pole on the beach and decided to "fish."  I wonder if she had more luck than Daddy and John...
Father/Daughter fishing trip...

Damon took Stella out into the water and she absolutely loved it.  She was literally shrieking with delight...

So happy together...

Body-boarding...the sport for everybody...um, I mean everydoggie?

We even had a dolphin sighting!  Damon, Stella, Dara, and Emma were within about 15 feet of the dolphin...

Cille eventually woke up from her nap and begged to put on her swimsuit so she could join the fun...

Check out her smile.  She was so happy to get in some tanning time...

You know what they say.  The sun can really wear you out...

Both of our girlies had more beach fun than they could handle...
Thank you, Guillorys, for sharing your fabulous camp with us! We can't wait to hit the beach with you again next year!

A Grand Time in Grand Isle

Over Labor Day weekend we were lucky enough to score an invite from the Guillory/May/Neyland clan to join them at the camp in Grand Isle for some much needed R&R.  After a midnight ride to the gulf, we woke up on Saturday ready to get the party started.  Sadie needed protective gear for the festivities...
Actually, Mrs. Betsy, Kelly, and I were the ones who needed protective gear, or a head exam, one or the other.  We took all 5...count them, ALL FIVE...girls to Walmart to do some grocery shopping.  It was an interesting trip.  Stella found a hat that she liked...

I guess this is her Shiloh Jolie-Pitt impersonation?  Who knows...

What a ham!  I think she was excited to be out of the Tahoe with the most per capita car seats in the U.S. for a while.  Seriously, we felt like the Duggars...

After our shopping adventure, the men returned from their "fishing" trip with crabs.  Huh? How do you go fishing and come back with crabs?  Apparently the fish weren't biting...

Awww.  Talia loves her daddy...

When the older girls started playing in the water Cille had to get dressed for the occasion...

Check out that suntan!

Talia and Stella realized the importance of staying fully hydrated...

Cille tried to butter me up so I would let her in the swimming pool..

Stella tried out another hat...

Later Dara and Matt arrived with their baby.  He's the furry one that Sadie's holding...

Stella was a big fan of the puppy...
Meanwhile, all that fun in the sun wore Cille out...

Everyone was welcome in Talia's pool.  The baby doll took a dip, even though she forgot to pack her swimsuit...

A hammockful of girls...

John's "How to Eat a Crab" tutorial...

Yummy!

Stella was a big fan of the crab.  Seriously, Damon could not get the meat out fast enough for this child.  Add that to her love of crawfish and frog legs and you've got a 100% Cajun baby.  How did that happen? I know I gave birth to her.  I mean, I was there...

Talia decided to take another swim.  She did not see dry clothes as a hinderance...

She was finished with those clothes anyway, because it was time to put on her cheerleading outfit for the big game.  Go Tigers!  She was teaching Cille the cheer...

Since Emma's birthday was coming up, we had cupcakes to celebrate.  I am now planning to invite Emma over the next time I need to frost cupcakes...

Talia was our quality control expert...

Cille got lots of cuddle time in over the weekend.  Here she is with Dara, the fabulous photographer who you can read all about on our blog, but rarely get the treat of seeing because she's so great behind the camera...

She also cuddled with John and Talia...
