Our Little Lugnut

We were so excited to get back to the baseball field and cheer for our favorite baseball player, Watts!  This year he is a Lugnut, and he is definitely ready to "Go Nuts!" - in spite of most of his siblings being allergic...
The first game was a little chilly...
I love it when they are sweet to each other!

LSU Basketball Game

We are not normally huge basketball fans, but our friend Tiara invited Watts and Corinne to go to a game with her, and they had so much fun!
Geaux Tigahs!

Sleepover!

Nothing puts the cherry on top of a long day at the zoo quite like making your own pizza for dinner...
Corinne was ecstatic to have her friend sleeping over, so we had the cutest guest chef!
And who can resist the dessert of champions?  It was a night of gluttony and fun!

They All Asked for You...

We followed up our trip to the Baton Rouge Zoo with a visit to the "real zoo" as we call it, better known as the Audubon Zoo to most others.  Corinne road the carousel solo and with no screaming for the first time in her life...
Also a first, we managed to climb this tree without any children leaving the scene bleeding...

It was a beautiful day for the zoo...

She was so proud of herself...

I love my little monkeys!

Baton Rouge Zoo

Our staycation continued the next day with a trip to the Baton Rouge Zoo...

Three little cajuns in an airboat...

We had a nice hike around the zoo, spent a loooooong time at the playground, and saw a few animals in the process.

Spencer's Biggest Fans

Our staycation continued with a little road trip up to Parklane Academy to watch Spencer play baseball.  Of course, we had to take a selfie to taunt Nana and Tab...
We were also surprised to see Watts in the lineup.  I mean, he is a really good baseball player, but he's only in 1st grade...
We grabbed a bite for dinner with our favorite high school baseball player afterwards, but apparently I took no photos of that.  We'll get some next time!  Love you, Spence!

Knock, Knock

For Mardi Gras break, Damon and Stella headed to Orlando for the Junior Steppers' national dance competition, but since we had just visited the mouse for Mardi Gras last year, the younger three kids and I decided to staycation.  First stop: Knock Knock Children's Museum...
Watts is a little bit obsessed with LSU right now.  I'm sure it's not very obvious from his attire or artwork...

Happy Marbi Gras, from Corinne...

We had a great time playing at Knock Knock, and I am pretty sure crafts were the highlight of the day!

Robert Kelley Pictures

Crazy-talented photographer Robert Kelley came back to Baton Rouge to take dance photos at Tari's School of Dance this year, and I love these even more than the ones he captured last year!
Some on these may seem repetitive because they were available in two different color options...

Stella is training to be a contortionist in the circus, obviously...

Excuse me while I go buy more photo frames....
