Watts' Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

One of our favorite spots each fall is Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch, so Watts was super excited for his class field trip there...

Merry-Go-Rounds were playground staples during my childhood, but you never see them anymore, probably thanks to lawyers.  Mrs. Heather still has one!  And as it turns out, kids from any generation love to spin themselves silly...

Ziplining...
Best friends...
Hay-bale hopping...

Picking a pumpkin...

Catching some air...

We even squeezed in a nature hike...
Watts had a great time with his friends at Mrs. Heather's!

5th Grade Vocabulary Parade

One fun thing about 5th grade at Parkview is getting to participate in the vocabulary parade!  The students were able to choose their own words and create a costume to match.  Stella drew inspiration from one of our friends, an attorney who is quite often apoplectic himself...
Stella designed and created the costume herself, with her sewing machine and some fabric paint.  I was very impressed and I am positive that I was not that crafty or creative as a 5th grader.  I am also positive that I did not know the definition of apoplectic.  Post parade she posed with a luminous friend...
I am not sure what this child's word is, but it ends in -phobia and I am almost positive I have it...
An exuberant friend...
Monstrous and Apoplectic in a showdown...
Watch out for this cutie...I hear she's contagious...
Stella's hip hop shoes were the perfect compliment for her costume...
How adorable is this CATastrophe?
These kids are tree-mendously creative...
Way to go, Stella!  We hope you enjoyed your parade as much as we did!
