We Survived Intensive and a Pool Party

How do you celebrate surviving a two-week dance intensive?  You eat burgers and ice cream with your besties!
I love this group of girls!  We're all so excited about this coming dance season!
And one major event per day is not our style, so that evening we hosted a Back to School Bash for the 1st grade girls, and doubled it as a Welcome to Parkview Party for the new families in our class...
Make new friends and keep the old, one is silver, and the other is GOLD! Love these sweet friends!

Jr. Stepper Camp

Right in the middle of Mrs. Tari's Intensive, just when the girls thought they had the weekend off from dancing, Junior Stepper Camp happened!  We tried to make it festive, even though I know they were tired before they even started...
They did a showoff for the friends and family on Sunday afternoon.  Some of the big Steppers came out to support them...
Of course their coaches were there...
And several Golden Girls cheered them on from the stands as well.  That's pretty standard practice for junior high dance camp, right?  I guess when your coach is a Golden Girl, there are a few perks...
Great job, girls!  We can't wait to see you rock the field!

Missions Camp

This good looking group of kids and chaperones headed out for Tall Timbers this morning to attend Kids' Mission Camp!
The big girls had dance intensive, so they weren't able to join in on the fun, but Corinne was very excited to be going to her first sleep-away camp.  I am pretty sure it was a first for her brother as well, but he played it cool since he's so mature now.  I know they'll have a great weekend and learn so much about their Savior!

4th of July Weekend

We had an awesome 4th of July weekend, and we started the party early by heading to Hammond to watch Spencer play ball on Friday.  Briggs wasn't there, so we had to take a picture with Spencer instead...
On deck...
The lovely ladies of the fan club...

So after cheering Spencer on Friday and Saturday, we were ready for some pool time on Sunday...

Pop and Nana taught us how to play Mexican Train and Watts was much better at it than Pawpaw...
We ate watermelon...

And Cille and Nana made us homemade ice cream...

And hot apple pie...
Daddy grilled...
We all had a great time together!
And after dark, the neighbors put on an amazing fireworks show that we watched absolutely free from the comfort of our own backyard.  I love America!

LSU Baseball Camp

One of Watts' favorite weeks of summer is the week that he spends at LSU Baseball Camp.  This year his cousin Reid was signed up for the same week...

Doing baseball all day at camp just wasn't enough, so the boys played games with their 9U Summer League teams Monday night and Wednesday night.  Their sisters and cousins came to cheer them on...
And of course you can't have LSU camp without having autograph day...
Apparently, Coach Mainieri shrank a little during the pandemic...
Okay, Damon told me who these guys are.  Gavin Dugas and...I can't remember...
Watts made lots of friends on his team.  It was really cute to spy on their serious morning conversations...
He survived!  Thank you to all the "big boys" for helping Watts learn more about baseball!
