Stella's 1st Blue Ribbon

On June 25, Stella won the backstroke race at the Graystone Golf and Country Club/CCL/Southern Oaks Swim Meet.  Watch until the end of the video for her priceless reaction, and to hear her parents screaming like insane people.  I guess we think us screaming can make her swim faster...

Cille's 4th BirthDAY

Every real birthDAY at our house must begin with a birthday breakfast!  Four muffins for a four year old girl!

After breakfast, we headed to the mall for some birthday pictures...
They had requested that I wear a coordinating shirt so that we could take some parent-child photos.  I was not really camera ready that morning, but Stella is always willing to pose so she took some sister pictures with Cille...
My pretty girls...
After the photography, Cille went to school for a little while to share some birthday cupcakes with her friends.  Once she starts kindergarten she won't get to do that anymore because of her summer birthday, so I want her to have as many chances to be the birthday girl at school as possible.  I do not have photos of that.  That night, Mawmaw and Pawpaw joined us for some dinner at Chili's and of course Cille's favorite: MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE!

This dessert is a big deal for our family since there aren't too many restaurant desserts that Stella can have.  This one is peanut and tree-nut free, baby!
Brother likes it, too...

Back at home it was time for more presents!

Cille was so excited to get this book.  We gave one to one of her friends and she really wanted to keep it for herself.  It is the story of Daniel told from the lion's point of view.  Very cute...

Mawmaw and Pawpaw never come with gifts for just one kid, so Stella and Watts had surprises too.  Watts got several swords, and he immediately put them to use.  His favorite pastime is sword fighting, and he will grab any sword-like object and yell, "Guard!" which really means, "En garde!"

Looks like Cille should have been a little more on her guard...
Cille had a wonderful birthday.  I can't believe that this sweet baby is already four years old!  Where did the time go?  I love her more each day.  Stay spunky, Cille!

Cille's Un-Frozen Birthday Party, Part 3

Cille and her future mother-in-law...just kidding!
Stella and the Sharbono twins really hit it off.  It made my heart happy...
Cille's cake...

This was the longest birthday candle blowing out EVER...
To her friends' credit, none of them stepped in to help out...

By the time it was over, I was ready to blow out the candle for her...

This was our first party ever where we actually ate all the cake at the party.  What a blessing to have so many friends to share our celebration with!  I choose to look at this as a good thing and not a flaw in my party planning...
Check the height on that bounce!
I love this picture!
When all our guests were gone Stella set up a private party for her brother and sister...
We had to have a birthday banner, of course.  The kids think it's not really a party unless there's a birthday banner.  They are so easy to please...
We tried out some themed food for the party.  Mawmaw made these Jello ice cubes for me...
I loved the Frozen napkins.  We had ranch dip for the Olaf noses, but I lost it in the rush and it still hasn't surfaced...
We waited until after the party to open the gifts.  Cille has the absolute best reactions when opening gifts.  I think you could give her a stick of gum wrapped up with a brick and she would be excited about it...

Our chandeliers looked super frosty with Sam's snowflakes suspended from them.  The best part: they still had the fishing wire on them so they were so easy to put up!  We need to match our themes every year!
Thanks so much to all of our friends and family who helped us celebrate our sweet four year old girl. Although our parties tend to be a little crazy, we feel so blessed to have each of you in our lives.  Thanks for helping us show our little girl how much she is loved!
