Celebration in the Oaks, Part 2

Continuing our fun at Celebration in the Oaks, we took a ride in Cinderella's carriage...
Hung out with this lady from a story we have never read...
And let our imaginations take flight on Captain Hook's pirate ship.  Watts loved playing on the boat!  I can't wait to take him to Disneyworld and let them turn him into a little swashbuckler...

Cille insisted on having her picture taken under the clock ALONE. She also chose her own pose...

My little astronaut...

If there's any prince handsome enough to wake Snow White it's gotta be my Wattsy-boy...

Daddy and Stella had a great time on the Fun Slide.  Cille was too chicken and Watts was too little...

Cille had a great time on the spinning cups, though...

Eventually it got a wee bit nippy...and Stella's legs got tired...
Cille's legs never get tired...
One last pose in front of the poinsettias...

Celebration in the Oaks, Part 1

One of our favorite holiday traditions is participating in the Celebration in the Oaks 2 Mile Run and then taking in the lights and rides in City Park afterward.  Unfortunately, this year the race was scheduled for the same time as our family Christmas party, so we had to skip it.  Lucky for us Celebration in the Oaks continues through the new year, so a few nights after Christmas when the weather was nice we set out for City Park...
Me and my three little angels...

Here we are with the famous Mr. Bingle! We seriously had to wait in line to take this picture...
One of our favorite things to do at Celebration in the Oaks is ride the carousel.  If you have seen the movie Now You See Me, there is a fantastic scene near the end that was filmed on this carousel.  It also happens to be the carousel where Stella hosted her 4th birthday party.  But on this night it was the carousel that happened to be closed for repairs, so we posed in front of it making sad faces.  Maybe I went a little too pitiful on my sad face...

Next stop was Storyland, where Stella played Rapunzel in King Cole's castle...

So did Cille.  Doesn't Daddy make a handsome Flynn Rider?  You should see him do "the smolder."  That's how he got me in the first place...
"There was an old woman who lived in a shoe...
...She had so many children she didn't know what to do...
...She gave them some broth without any bread, and pulled most of the hair right out of her head."
Cille Beck had a little lamb...
Is that a lamb or a pack mule?

No wonder Jack and Jill fell down the hill...their slide was MUCH too steep!  Unfortunately, Watts loved it, but I had to accompany him on each trip down.  I was wearing boots with absolutely no traction, so it was a wild ride for both of us...several times...until I could distract him...

The five little pigs.  Little known part of the story, Stella made her house out of pillows and Cille made her house out of sheets...

We got photobombed with Pinocchio...
Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?  WE ARE!!!

Christmas Evening

That afternoon we headed over to Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house to spread more Christmas cheer with the rest of our family.  Watts had more gifts to open, but he was much more interested in playing with the toys he already had at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's...

Reid's shirt made him look a little bit like his Hulk doll.  Watch out!  You won't like him when he's angry!  Just kidding!  This sweetie is never mad...
Mawmaw Shirley got a calendar...
And Stella got an Aurora doll from Mawmaw Shirley.  Aurora is Stella's favorite princess...
Cille couldn't believe that she got an Anna doll!  Now she has dolls of both the sisters in Frozen!
Uncle Chad is always good for helping the kids burn off some energy...
This kid cracks me up...
Matching her baby...
Reid is so sweet to Watts.  He even let Watts try on his hat...

The Batman doll that we gave Tucker was perfect for him because he likes to hang out upside down just like a bat...

Having too much fun with Uncle Chad...

Twinsies!

Who is more confused by this gift?  Hard to tell...

The kids really enjoyed opening their stockings, too...

We had a wonderful time celebrating our savior's birth!  Let us always remember that HE is the greatest gift of all!
