Easter Parties

Time for school Easter parties with our Peeps!
Kindergarten classes at Parkview have a tradition of holding their Easter party off campus at a park or someone's house.  We volunteered to host Corinne's class and pulled out all the stops, but getting ready for the party and cleaning up afterward were a family affair...
The forecast said rain, and we were super anxious that our outdoor party might end up becoming an indoor party, but God is good all the time and not a single drop of rain fell until the party was over and we had almost everything picked up! The overcast day made the temperature nice for the adults, but the kids were still warm enough to indulge in some snowballs...
We heated the pool and hot tub until it was basically like bath water and these crazy kids took full advantage...

Not sure that bikini egg hunting is really PBS approved, but it definitely happened at our party...there will be a cut off age for this activity for sure...
2nd graders had their party on campus and Watts showed off his artwork with Mrs. Bergie...
Meanwhile Corinne and her friends were eating cake...
Mrs. Kemp and all her T1 kids...
We had a great time getting to know Corinne's classmates and their families better.  We look forward to celebrating many more Easters with this fun crew!

Choir Concert

The girls and their friends performed a beautiful and fun spring concert with the middle and high school choir...

So grateful that they use their talents to glorify Jesus!

Headshots

A good friend of mine used to say, "I wish I'd been born beautiful and dumb, instead of ugly and so dang smart!"  I can relate, but Stella was born beautiful AND smart!  Lucky girl!
Mr. Ron Moore always does such a great job on the headshots for the Parkview musicals.  It makes it almost worth all the long hours of rehearsal just to get the headshots!
If you want to compare this to Stella's kindergarten headshot, click here...

Thanks, Rempics

Coco Steals the Show

Corinne had a very big week! She played in her first softball game...

Crafted the cutest Easter Bonnet with Mawmaw entirely out of scraps they found in the costume closet and craft room for the Easter Parade at school...

And took dance pictures for her first year at Tari's School of Dance
This girl has a bright future ahead of her.  Stay tuned for more Coco milestones coming soon!

Lucky Number 13

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a teenager in the house!  Talk about the fastest 13 years of my life!  Seems like yesterday Stella was a tiny baby and now she is taller than me.  Parenthood is very humbling.  We wanted to celebrate this girl in a big way for this milestone birthday, but she is a very busy kiddo with competitive dance and the high school musical at school, so we had to settle for carving out enough time for an escape room, hibachi, and cake and ice cream at home. Of course, as her party guests she chose mostly college kids and adults.  Shout out to Carrington for being the only age-appropriate party guest.  I am glad that Stella doesn't feel bound to her own age group when making friends.  Her father and I certainly don't and I think this is a trait we are passing down to the kids...
And of course we had to have the traditional birthday breakfast in bed with the family.  I am so happy that she's a teenager and still smiling about it.  We'll see how she feels about it next year...
Happy Birthday, Stella! We love watching you grow into the young lady God wants you to be!  Keep shining!

More Convention Fun!

We went to more conventions than ever before this season...just so...many...conventions!  I was a super tired mom after all that dancing, so I can only imagine how the actual dancers felt.  Stella and Megan both had a great day at NUVO, obviously...
We love when our dance friends are also our school friends!  Go Eagles!

Another sweet Parkview dancer...
Thank you, Jesus, for giving Stella the spiritual gift of being able to apply makeup.  I would be in serious trouble if I had to apply her convention makeup since I can barely put makeup on myself, but I think she does a great job on her own...

Zachariah is 6!

If you give one nephew a birthday party, you have to give the other one a birthday party also, right?  Fair is fair!  And Zachariah is finally 6, so what better reason to celebrate?
He chose a Star Wars theme, and who's cooler than Baby Yoda?

We love you and all your excited facial expressions, Z!
