Day 3 in motion...

The Animal Kingdom wore us out!

Disney Day 3, Part 2

All that dancing can really wear a girl out...
Not really.  Actually, by the time Stella took that nap we had conquered two shows and a jungle safari.  Cille was still going strong...
Stella met Rafiki...
Posed with Pawpaw by Mike, or is that Shere Khan?
And met Uncle Chad's favorite princess, too...
Cille was loving life strapped to Mommy's chest...
I think this is my favorite picture of Cille of all time.  It captures her happy personality so well!  She is my little sunshine.  While we were at Disney she cut a top tooth, and as of today, she is up to four top teeth and working on a third bottom tooth! This grin will soon be a lot more toothy...
Stella enjoyed another Mickey Mouse ice cream bar...
Immensely...
Eventually, Cille succumbed to a nap in the Animal Kingdom also.  I am making this face because I was ready for a nap, too!

Disney Day 3, Part 1

We started day 3 at Disney with breakfast at the Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom...
Of course, Stella was again treated to a birthday cupcake...
In spite of the look on her face, Cille really was pumped to meet Donald Duck...
Donald signed Stella's autograph book as "Donald Duck #1"...
How sweet!
Nice face I'm making.  Cille doesn't know what to think about Mickey...
But Stella loves him!
Next Goofy stopped by...
Cille's cheeks look a little like Goofy in this picture...
She even got a kiss...
Periodically throughout the meal music would play and the characters would choose kids to dance around the restaurant with them.  Never one to shy away from a public performance, Stella was all about this...
We had a great time with all our friends at the Tusker House!  Oh, and the food was yummy, too!

Disney Day 2, Part 2

We spent our second day at Disney in the Hollywood Studios park. Here are Damon and I discussing a little "strategery"...
We had never "baby-worn" either of our girls before, but we decided that with Cille being so small, a carrier might be a little easier than a stroller.  Of course, she absolutely loved being attached to me.  The only problem is that since we came home, she has super-separation anxiety and bawls every time I leave her sight.  We'd like to send a special thanks to Danny, Anna, and Lilly, whose carrier we borrowed.  Here Cille is catching some z's in the carrier.  I was pretending to sleep, but I was really so worn our during this entire trip that I probably could have fallen asleep standing up at any time...
We also got a child-carrier for Stella.  Remember that Stella weighs at least 40 pounds.  At least, I said.  So when you strap on this pack with Stella and all our gear for the day stashed in it, you feel a lot like a pack mule.  Hee-haw...
Stella was a little shy about meeting Mulan...

But she dove right into Mickey's arms...
We ended the day with the luau at the Polynesian.  Stella got on stage twice: once to dance the hula and once because she was celebrating her birthday...
Although the luau was one of the activities that we said we would skip next time, it is pretty much the only thing Stella has talked about since we came back. They had this guy who ate fire there and she absolutely was amazed by that. Just ask Jamie. Stella told her the story 83 times one night while we were having dinner.

Disney Day 2, Part 1

We started our second day at Disney with a bus and monorail ride to the Grand Floridian to have breakfast at 1900 Park Fair with some very famous people, er, characters...
Since one reason for our trip was to celebrate Stella's upcoming birthday, she got a birthday cupcake after she finished her big, strong food...
Cille enjoyed singing "Happy Birthday"...
Sweet face I'm making.  I should have cropped myself out.  Oh, well, Cille likes it...
Wendy came by and told us all about Tinkerbell pulling her hair...
The Mad Hatter was hilarious.  Betcha would never think that I would enjoy sarcastic humor...
Then Mary Poppins came by and she was practically perfect in every way!
To Stella, this was like meeting one of her favorite movie stars of all time...
And she even got a hug!
As you can see, Cille really enjoyed her time at Disney...
Stella enjoyed running around...
And riding Pawpaw's horsey...

And lying on the ground and giggling...

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - Disney Day 1, Part 3

One of the first items on our Disney agenda was a trip to this place...
For those of you who don't have princess-obsessed little girls, it's a beauty shop in the bottom of Cinderella's castle where "fairy godmothers-in-training" turn regular little girls into real life princesses.  Stella got to pick out which Disney princess she wanted to become, and of course, she picked Rapunzel...
The treatment starts off in one of Cinderella's royal dressing rooms, where the princess tries on her gown and "glass" slippers, or in Stella's case, glittered ballet flats with jewels on the toe.  Then it's on to hair and makeup...
This was the first time that Stella wore eye makeup that she did not apply herself...(usually she likes to wear it on her cheeks)
Pucker up!
"Is my lipstick smudged?"
The finishing touch is a little sprinkle of fairy dust...
Almost there...
Stella was very impressed by her long hair...
I don't think she realized it was a wig at first...
The big reveal!  I'm not sure who was more excited: Stella or the adults watching her...
Stellpunzel...
She didn't forget the little people.  She took the time to pose with Kelly, her fairy godmother-in-training.  She even told her, "Thank you so much, for everything!" just like Cinderella...
She just couldn't get over that hair!
I'm not biased or anything, but I think she's the most beautiful Disney princess ever...
