Pumpkin Patch, Part 3

Next it was on to the bouncy ponies...

And the swings!
Watts was adamant that Mawmaw should swing with him...

We eventually made our way back to the slide, where according to Daddy, Watts showed off his natural ability for a textbook baseball slide?  Couldn't prove it by me, but according to Dad that compact little body is harboring huge athletic potential.  Who knew?

Tucker hilariously kept sending Captain America down the slide ahead of him.  Cap' would end most of his slides shield-deep in dirt...

We did not let Aunt 'Laina proof this picture like we normally do, but she is such a sweet helper with all the little ones that she has to be on the blog.  It takes a really special person to sweat through the pumpkin patch with kids that are not their own and we are so thankful that Uncle Chad chose such a sweet aunt for our family...

Pumpkin Patch, Part 2

One drawback to visiting the pumpkin patch in September...it was hot!  As you can see by the amount of sweat in Cille's hair...

I am pretty sure this slide was a favorite for all the Pourciau and Kemp kids in attendance...

Even the grown-up kids...

I love this picture of mommy and son having fun together!

Stella is a great helper with her brother...she is very protective of the little guy...

He is pretty rough and tumble, though, and soon was sliding down all by himself into the waiting arms of Cille, which tends to be a pretty terrifying place for him most of the time...

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day.  They were having so much fun together!

Pumpkin Patch, Part 1

It's that time of year again!  Fall is here and we celebrated by visiting one of our favorite fall destinations, Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch!  We have been visiting this patch for a while (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) and it gets better every year.  This year we spread the word with friends and family that we would be there, stopped for breakfast at Cracker Barrel on the way, and packed a wagonload of snacks and drinks so we could party until we were pooped...
The animal lovers found a donkey to pet on the way in...
The kids wasted no time in selecting their pumpkins...

Our selection process was not very discerning.  Basically they all grabbed the first one they came to and refused to put it down...
A new addition to the patch this year was Cinderella in her carriage.  The girls were pumped but Watts continued his streak of not trusting people in costumes...

Next year Mrs. Heather's gonna have to get one more scarecrow!
The girls loved the corn maze.  Stella gave her sister an education on how to pick corn.  They both came out of the maze with several ears...

I used my country upbringing to teach Cille how to shuck her corn.  Wish I could figure out a way to get her to eat it...
Mawmaw, Daddy, and Watts tracked us down in the corn maze by listening for the sound of complaining and following that...
Watts was a big help with the wagon...

Cille gave the boys a push on the unicycle-go-round?  What exactly is this thing called?
Stella thoroughly enjoyed the merry-go-round...
More patch fun to come!  5 more posts!
