Happy Halloween!

Halloween is kind of a big deal at our house.  Before Cille was born, Stella was a kangaroo and a cat for Halloween.  For their first Halloween together they went as the Princess and the Pea, and that's when Damon and I quit phoning in our Halloween costumes by wearing scrubs and claiming we were veterinarians.  The next year we went as Petite Rouge and friends, followed by Dorothy and the crew from The Wizard of Oz last year.  This year we needed something with a lot of characters, so we decided on Peter Pan.  Since Cille has brown hair, she made a perfect Wendy Darling, although she insisted that her name was Darling Wendy...

Our resident blondie made a great Tinkerbell...
So sweet...
I posed them like this because Tinkerbell and Wendy don't get along in the movie!

I did not pose her like this...this is just natural ability...
And this is just natural silliness...
Our title character...
Peter Pan had mixed feelings about his hat...

I like the rakish angle of Watts's hat in this one...

Daddy went as the Tick-Tock Croc...who looked alarmingly similar to Claude the Alligator from Petite Rouge...
In this photo Watts had just thrown his hat to the floor...
He tried to eat Daddy's alligator hat...talk about Swamp People...
I was Tiger Lily...

Getting five people to cooperate for a group photo is the impossible dream...
Stella asked us to bring in a chair so that she could look like she was flying...
Captain Hook and Mr. Smee completed the group...
If you are wondering why we took all of our pictures inside this year, it is because it was raining outside!  One of my sweet friends gave me the great idea of "Colorado Trick-or-Treating," which means that you let the kids trick or treat door to door inside the house in case of inclement weather.  We were pumped about this idea.  Stay tuned for my next post to learn how the best laid plans of mice and men sometimes go awry...
