Dying Eggs and Other Easter Fun

After opening our baskets and showing off our Easter fashions, it was time for some family fun. We traveled to Erwinville and gathered at Aunt Sheila's house for some delicious grub and time with the family.  Uncle Ryan had a new puppy for Stella to play with...
She named him Camelot, which is her favorite movie right now...

Later it was time to dye some eggs!  I know, I know, we should have done this before Easter Sunday, but have you read our blog lately?  We didn't have time!
I love this next series of pictures...
How much fun is she having?
Makes me want to dye some eggs...
This child takes my breath away sometimes...
While we were waiting for our eggs to dye we did some swinging with Mawmaw...
And played with some Silly String from the Easter basket that Mawmaw and Pawpaw gave us...
I am not sure what Cille is doing other than looking a little like a polka dotted Easter egg herself...
Stella's favorite thing to do with the Silly String was to make a pile of it on the seat of Pawpaw's four-wheeler and sit on it...
See what I mean?
I know this picture is blurry.  But look how much fun Stella is having playing with her Uncle Chad...
She's gonna get you!
They made up...
Cille was so worn out after all her fun that she almost fell asleep in the high chair...
She was able to revive herself enough for Stella to offer her one more bite of food...
Such a helpful big sister!

Easter Dresses

We have been planning our Easter morning wardrobe since Christmas, if you can believe that! A family friend named Lori Anne Tushner made these sweet dresses for my two favorite little lambs...
We had our pictures made in these dresses with a live bunny, but since Daddy insisted on a copyright release, we have not gotten them back so far.  Hopefully we will get to see them soon.  In the meantime, I wanted to show off how cute the girls were in their duds...
On Easter morning we talked about how Jesus is the lamb of God...
Stella also chose to wear her "necklace with the bus on it," which is actually a streetcar....(thanks to super-shopper and gift giver, Kelly Guillory!)

Easter Baskets

On Easter morning, the girls were eager to dig into their baskets and see their surprises...
We could have just bought a bag of Super Bubble gum and a few plastic eggs for Stella...
She was very glad to open an egg and find PINK gum...
See what I mean?

Cille was content to eat the packaging instead of the actual chocolate bunny...
Yummy!

Biloxi Beach Babes

After our under the sea expedition, the weather was warming up, so we decided to drop by the beach on our way back to the hotel. Daddy and I had a dinner engagement, so we didn't have very much time and we decided that Stella probably wouldn't get in the water and could just go in her regular clothes...
At first, she thought the water was a little too cold...

I love baby toes in the sand!  Here are Cille's...
Stella decided that it would be fun to try to fill up the gulf, one shovelful of sand at a time...
Cille's toes again...to compare them to Stella's, click here...
My windblown baby...
Cille loves long walks on the beach...
Aren't they cute?
We wanted to take a family photo, but Stella was too busy...
When she did finally agree to take a picture, she fell down and got her shirt wet...
And proceeded to strip it off...
Now, I feel compelled to point out that I packed not one by THREE bathing suits for Stella for this trip, yet this is how she ended up on the beach...
The water was so shallow that my naked baby could wade out this far and still be in knee-deep water...
Although this looks a little painful, it was Stella's idea and she loved it...
Check out that sandy booty...
Meanwhile, Cille and I were a little embarrassed over Stella's topless antics...
Eventually she got a little cold...
Damon cuddled her up in his arms and almost got her back to the truck, at which point she told him that she was warm and wanted to go back to the beach.  When she returned, she lied in the surf, pretended to be Ariel, and serenaded us with songs from The Little Mermaid...
Flipping her fins she didn't get too far...
Muah!  In all stages of dress, we had a great time at the beach!
