Goodbye, Beach!

This girl...
A beautiful beach sunset from the front balcony...
Sweet cousins watching cartoons and cuddling...
The "Best Repurposing of a Crown Royal Bag" award goes to this guy...
Can you find our kids?
Of course, Corinne had to pose with "Belle"...
Looking at the camera is soooo overrated...
Time for some fun at The Track...

Turning our teeth blue...
The Coconator found a movie named after her...
Hot tubbing with your parents is always awesome...
We miss the beach already and can't wait to go back!

Do It Yourself Beach Photos: Another Way to Say Disaster

Do you have the desire to possess hundreds of overexposed photos that highlight a 2-year-old's refusal to cooperate and the dirt spots on your camera lens?  Perhaps you should try an afternoon of being your own beach photographer...

Yes, you too, can have hundreds of strikingly similar photos like these that are all close to good enough, but just never quite right...
Shout out to Corinne for REFUSING to put her foot down no matter what...

Think we're doing a little better?  Check out the sunbursts on their clothes...

Now we are dark and grainy...
Sunbursts and Watts has lost interest...
She is super cute; if only her photographically-challenged parents had realized their shadows were marring her photos...

Two out of four ain't bad, but again, we really need to clean that lens...

Wondering where Corinne is?  Nearby having a serious conversation with her dad about her refusal to behave...
I love him so much...
Even when he forgets where the camera lens is located...

Look at the camera?  NO WAY, JOSE!

Close...but oh, so far away....
This is a keeper...we'll crop out that guy in the back...

Now we have reached the portion of the event in which all hope is not yet dead, but people keep walking down the boardwalk behind us...

We told Corinne to do princess hands, but she translated that as bunny paws...

Now we are getting really grainy.  We should just break down and learn how to actually use the camera properly...

The bigger kids are obviously NOT THE PROBLEM....
And although she is a challenge to capture on film, we love this little monkey...
If you think about taking photos of your own family on the beach, just don't waste your time.  If you are going to go to the supreme effort of bathing and dressing 4 children in coordinating outfits, hire a professional.  Your sanity and flawless Christmas card will be your rewards.
