Watts' Pre-K Graduation

This handsome little fella is now a Pre-K graduate!

Saying the pledge during his program...
From where we were sitting it was hard to take photos of him on the stage...
I am pretty sure a substitute helped Watts complete his fireman picture, because she couldn't believe that Pourciau ended in a "U" and not a "W."  I can personally vouch that spelling Pourciau is one of the skills that Watts mastered in Pre-K, which is great, since I was a college graduate and had been married for several years before I learned to spell it...
Watts and Ms. Dolly on graduation day...
Click here to see them together on the first day of Pre-K.  Click here to see Ms. Dolly with Cille on her first day of Pre-K, and click here to see Ms. Dolly with Stella and a baby Watts at Stella's Pre-K field trip.  This lady is truly something special and we are so thankful that God put her in our lives!  We can't wait for Corinne to be in her class one day!

Corinne and Cille were rocking the twinsy look at the graduation...

You can probably tell that Watts was D-O-N-E with pictures by this time...

 Zoned out....
Corinne was NOT having a family photo...
 So we left her out...
Watts and his bestie graduated together...

We tried again...Corinne still was't feeling it...

 Now Watts is over it...

 We just can't. all. smile.
Watts and his afternoon teacher, Ms. Hannah...
We are super proud of Watts for all of his hard work in Ms. Dolly's class and we can't wait to watch him grow next year in TK!

Moses

Bible character dress up day is one of our favorite days in Ms. Dolly's Pre-K class.  Since Stella was in Pre-K, I have been trying to persuade one of our kids to be Jonah IN the whale, because we have a really spiffy fish costume that I think would be perfect for the occasion.  I really thought Watts was going to be my guy for this, since he is a boy and they usually don't really care about what they wear. Alas, Watts, too, has crushed my dreams and wasted my good idea with his own plans.  He decided he wanted to be Moses for Bible character dress up day.  But not just any Moses, he wanted to be the Moses whose stick turns into a snake and then he picks it up and it turns back into a stick.  Here's what I threw together with things we had around the house:
Special thanks to Dad for the use of his Under Armor workout shirt and the belt from his bathrobe, the girls for their stretchy headband, and Cille for bringing us a souvenir snake from her field trip to Global Wildlife.  The towel was mine in college, the stick was Damon's for Hats and Canes in law school, and the sandals are Watts' own...

Apparently, I did not take photos of the big girls on their Bible character dress-up days, but I am pretty sure that Stella was Queen Esther, and Cille might have been Hannah?  I can't really remember.  Whoever she was, all three kids learned so much about the Bible from Ms. Dolly and really came out of her class with a hunger and thirst for God's word.  We are beyond blessed that this sweet teacher has poured into three of our little ones!

Canyoning

Every once in a great while Damon and I have the chance to sneak off for a little time together without the kids, and on a recent trip we got to visit the Grand Canyon by helicopter...
The Skywalk was a neat perspective on the canyon, and the required booties were quite fetching...

The photographer apparently had a list of shots that she needed to take to complete her package, so here we are at the Grand Canyon prom...

I loathe goofy pictures...
I may be a dork, but I'm his dork and he loves me...
We enjoyed our adventure and I can now cross Grand Canyon off my bucket list, although I would love to go back and do a rafting trip with the kids to get a different perspective on it.  So maybe it is still on my bucket list...

Watts' TOT Shine Time Super Show

Watts participated in the TOT program again this year at school and he was so excited for his showoff, mostly because of the trophies...
His fan club was there to support him...

He even learned how to balance the ball on his head! Just kidding...it's the power of trick photography...

Great job, Watts!

First Trip to Blue Bayou

The big girls were spending their Saturday afternoon at birthday parties with Dad, so the littles and I hit the snowball stand after Watt's game...

Then we kept the party rolling with our first trip of the season to Dixie Landing.  Watts was our capable chauffeur in Gasoline Alley...

And when he got tired of walking Corinne even shared her stroller with him...
