Christmas Cards

Each year we try to take our own Christmas card picture...and each year it is mostly a disaster.  I am still not sure why we haven't learned our lesson, but this year we made our attempt on a warm Sunday afternoon.  The kids all took naps after church and we woke them up in time to make it to a park around 4 for the afternoon sun.  Then we got stuck in traffic on the way to the park and the stress level ramped up from there.  As always, the one year old in the picture refused to be still or look at the camera without some form of bribery...we used beads left over from the Christmas parade...
This is the shot that we ended up using for the card.  We had resigned ourselves to the fact that Watts was not going to cooperate and were planning to take a picture of the girls together and then try to get an individual picture of him, but when we posed the girls he sauntered over and started smiling, so we started snapping.  He also started hitting Cille in the head, but she kept smiling so we went with it. As my grandma always said, "Beggars can't be choosers..."
Just in case the group shot didn't turn out we snapped a couple of individual shots that we thought we could use in a collage if necessary...
Not a real smile but she's still cute...
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
