Pawpaw's Birthday

We have lots of birthdays to celebrate in October, so brace yourself!  The first October party at our house was for Pawpaw's birthday.  Watts was so glad to see him...
Mawmaw enjoyed her vacation, but she was happy to be back with her girls...
Cille had lots of news to fill her in on...

Cille requested this picture.  I am not sure why...
Watts looks like a big boy in the playhouse!

The mercurial temperament of a 3 year old...

Stella showed off her sight word skills for Mawmaw...
 Vroom...vroom...

 Watts loves to play outside...

Eventually it was time to take the party inside.  The kids painted this banner all by themselves.  Words by Stella, pictures by Cille...
The girls made cards and also selected various items from Stella's "keep safe drawer" and wrapped them up as gifts for Pawpaw...
Stella chose to give Pawpaw some sunglasses that he could wear to go hunting...unfortunately for him, they were hers from Disney and therefore very small...

Cille helped Pawpaw open her gift, then she took several of her items back...

Cille gave him a Beauty and the Beast cardboard cutout because the Beast is a boy...(her reasoning, not mine)

She also gave him this beautiful flower to wear in his hair...
 He loved it!
Then it was time for a gift from all of us...
It was a "Hunting Buddy Coupon" good for 1 free hunt with Stella as his guide, and a camo shirt for her to wear on the hunt, along with the mom-required gigantic fluorescent orange hair bow...
The girls also recorded a memory book for Pawpaw...
Watts wanted to know where his presents were...
So he commandeered the hunting glasses...

 We all sang "Happy Birthday"...
And the girls helped him blow out all those candles...

Watts thoroughly enjoyed eating and wearing the cake...

He looks so mischievous in these!
After cleaning up the cake mess, Stella gave Pawpaw the sight word show...
While Mawmaw and Cille read some bedtime stories...
Our kids are blessed beyond measure to have such amazing grandparents.  I am glad that we had the chance to stop and celebrate how much we love Pawpaw.  Happy Birthday, Mustache Man!
