Dying Eggs and other Easter Fun

Usually we dye Easter eggs outside.  It has been so long between the actual event and the time that I am finally blogging this that I can't remember why we moved inside this year, but needless to say you are feasting your eyes on the interior of Pawpaw's garage, or, as he likes to call it, "the shed."

After all that artwork the girls were ready to play rough.  Thank goodness they chose Daddy instead of me...
Once the eggs were (mostly) dry it was time for another tradition.  Damon calls it "tocking eggs" (spelling? This is yet another Cajun made-up word that no one knows the spelling of), I call it fighting eggs, but basically it is just smashing eggs together and seeing which one breaks...
Stella loves this game.  Every. single. year...

Man, someone should really clean Cille's face more often.  Oh, wait...that should be me, shouldn't it? My bad...

Even Grandma Tonie got in on the action...

Pawpaw cheats at egg fighting, much like everything else...

Stella has not learned to take defeat very gracefully yet.  We are still working on this...
