Easter Greetings!

The weekend before Easter, I sweet-talked Stella into wearing a matching outfit with her siblings to the church Easter egg hunt.  This may be my last successful attempt at this feat.  Weren't they precious?
If you are wondering what happened to Watts, he got into a fight with the playground concrete and lost, breaking his arm, ending his baseball season, and scratching his face up nicely...
He did not let it slow down his egg hunting, however...

Corinne and one of her preschool buddies since day one...
Back at home on a lazy afternoon, we dyed some eggs...
Mrs. Staci loaned us her cool egg spinner, which these two loved...

Finally Easter came!  Hallelujah!  We serve a risen Savior!  We did baskets that morning and tied them back to the cross using our My Easter Basket book.  Apparently I took no pictures of that event.  We went to church...also no photos.  Then we went to Mawmaw and Pawpaw's to put all those lovely dyed eggs to work...
Corinne's egg was a winner!

There's Cille enjoying the thrill of victory in the background...

This game can get a little heated in our family...

Sweet success!

Pawpaw's face in this one cracks me up.  (Pun intended.) Watts simply does not quit smacking your egg, regardless of whether his has already cracked or not...
.

Champion!

Corinne's expression is priceless.  She knows Pawpaw is cheating but can't figure out how...

Who cares?  Boiled eggs are delicious...
Happy Easter, everybody!  To take a stroll down memory lane and revisit past Pourciau egg wars, click here and here and here and here and here.  Like I said, we do this A LOT!

Stella's Double Birthday Sleepover Party

When you are turning double digits, you need to have double the party, right? To celebrate the big 1-0 with Stella, we hosted two birthday sleepovers on back-to-back weekends.  The first activity on the agenda was painting pillowcases, because we all know that tween girls love a good craft/mess...
I love that these sweet friends thanked the Lord for their tacos without being reminded...
They baked the birthday cake on their own and decorated it themselves as well, as you can see...

Chocolate overload!
For our after dinner outing we saw our friend Carlie and lots of other high schoolers in Grease...
Back at home the girls donned matching jammies and binge-watched Live PD.  Seriously.  Apparently their teacher told them about this show and they were enthralled.  I was not a fan...
They needed more sugar so we made some late-night s'mores...

Next weekend we did it all again!  Well, some of it.  We started with pillowcases again...
And then apparently I quit taking photos.  Damon took the girls out for hibachi, and they fell asleep to The Greatest Showman.  The next morning we hiked for donuts, and captured LOTS of slugs on the way home...

Both groups of girls spent their Saturday mornings riding go-karts and climbing the rock wall at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house. Happy 10th birthday, Stella!  We can't believe that you've been with us for a decade.  In some ways it feels like you have always been here, and in others it feels like you were born yesterday.  Continue to surround yourself with friends who love the Lord and seek His will.  We love you!
