Family Easter

After checking out our Easter baskets at home we got on the road to Aunt Lacie's house to spend some time with the family.  Aunt Lacie and Mawmaw had boiled a ton of eggs for the kids to dye...

Many eggs were broken in this process...

Here is my son taste-testing a glitter covered egg.  If you are wondering if the glitter is edible, it's not...
Uh-oh...
"Try this...it's disgusting!"

It started to rain but the twins were unfazed by bad weather...
Stella and Pawpaw had an egg fight, or "tock" as they call it...

Her face is probably like that because he's cheating...

Ewww....
I have no idea...
Since it was raining outside Aunt Lacie let the kids hunt eggs in her house.  She is a brave gal...

Watts must have found the golden egg because he has folding money in this last picture...

Easter Baskets

We went to church first thing Easter morning and since we are Pourciaus and find it impossibly challenging to arrive anywhere on time, we decided to wait and do baskets after the service.  Cille's...
Corinne's...
Stella's...
and Watts's...
Damon had the kids pose with their baskets before diving in.  I am not sure if he was just trying to build suspense, teach self-control, or what...

We also read a couple of books about the true meaning of Easter before looking through the baskets.  Stella read one to us that she had checked out from her school library, and Cille performed an Easter-themed song that she learned at school called "He's Alive."  I really wish I had videoed her singing, because I was pleasantly surprised that her song was perfectly on point and in line with the topic we were discussing.  She has really grown a lot spiritually in pre-K four and I am so thankful for her teacher and her hunger for God's word.

Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt

CCL did their annual egg hunt a little differently this year.  Like last year, the day dawned gloomy and wet, but we did not let that keep us from our breakfast with the bunny.  Stella chose to defect to her friend's table and be Caroline's sister for the morning...
At least these two chose our family...

The rain stopped just in time to hunt eggs and kids came spilling out of the clubhouse...

Again there were separate hunting grounds for big kids and little kids...

As you can see from the photos, Mawmaw and Pawpaw joined us for the fun...

I am not sure what this face is about...

Cille was very excited about the whole thing...

The big three with their loot...

Watts rocked his hat to the egg hunt...
I cannot take credit for these pictures, but good job, Staci...

We'll be hopping by with more Easter fun soon!
