Halloweenie

On our way home from the patch we swung by our old neighborhood for Halloweenie in Live Oak Landing!  Why was it called "Halloweenie," you ask?  Because weenies were on the menu for this fun gathering of friends!
Mrs. Missy carved a pumpkin with help from all the kiddos...
Aaron was grossed out by the pumpkin's contents...

So was Cille...
Watts was awake again!
Me taking a picture of Missy taking a picture of the girls...
It was cool enough for Watts to wear his costume, so Daddy got to snuggle with a sweet little lion...
Roar!
Each family was responsible for a game.  The Raney's suspended donut race was a big hit.  Here's Katie taking down an eight year old...
The Safley house is not one where they allow the kids to win...poor Aaron never had a chance...
The Millets and their Molly Jane pumpkin: missing a few teeth!
The Safleys won best themed costumes: Catwoman, Batman, and Robin...
Our crew...
We had a great time at Halloweenie!  We love and miss all our LaPlace friends!

Pumpkin Patch Part 2

This year Stella was big enough to go on the blob all by herself...well, with a little help from Emma and Sadie...

Some kid threw corn on the blob and then everyone had fun trying to "pop" the corn...

Who needs a blob when your dad is willing to throw you at least 7 feet in the air?
Cille found some hay and used it to fashion makeshift pom-pons.  She then chanted, "LSU!"

Cille and Tucker liked the airplane...

Pilot to bombadier!

She really is Pawpaw's baby...
If Stella ever gets to drive a wagon with a real horse, animal rights activists should prepare to be horrified.  She really let this fake horse have it with the reins...
She also refused to let Cille sit next to her, preferring the back seat as the proper place for little sisters...
Reid showed us how much all that fun wore him out!

The Pumpkin Patch

It's that time of year again!  Time for our family to make our annual trip to Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch!  This was our 4th visit to the patch, and this time the weather actually felt like autumn.  To see how much fun we had in past years, check out these posts: 2009, 2010, 2011.  The first stop on every visit is posing for a picture with the giant pumpkins...
This year we brought the Kemps along for the fun...
Our whole gang...
We met the Guillory clan at the patch and as you can see, Cille was very happy to see them...
The girls got pumpkins painted on their faces...

Aunt Lacie and Tucker decided they'll wait until next year for the blob...
Pawpaw took the girls inside a real tipi!  It was just like Dances with Wolves...well, maybe not...

Stella was a little reluctant to let go of Daddy's hand while she was zip-lining...

On to the slide!

Watts had to stay bundled up, but this picture is proof that he did spend some time awake at the pumpkin patch...
Ride 'em, Cowgirl!

The big girls decided to climb the haystack...

Rolling in the hay...great for allergies...
Spectators...
After the hay they were off to the blob...more pictures tomorrow!
