Peeking at Daddy from under the kitchen table...
Playing in her jammies in the living room...
Stella has grown so much in the past year and accomplished so many amazing things. She can now walk, albeit wobbily, across the room from one object to another. She can identify many body parts, including ears, eyes, mouth, head, knees, and toes. She can say Daddy, Momma, ball, bug, uh-oh, blackberry, Scarlett, and Stella, among other things. She can identify certain flash cards, like ball, baby, and fish. She loves animals, and visits the ducks in her backyard everyday. She also had her picture taken with a live bunny last Saturday and had to be moved away from the bunny because she would not stop petting it (rather aggressively, too, I might add). She loves being outside and will fight you to get to the doorknob to go out on the back patio. She can brush her hair and help dress herself. She loves people, and enjoys hamming it up in the grocery store; she waves, smiles, and tells people, "Hi!" So, one year later, I can honestly say that the things everyone tells you about babies are definitely true. The first year does fly by. You really do forget how tiny they were. They do change everything. You do forget what it was like before you had them. While I can say by default that this was the best year of Stella's life, I can also without a doubt say that it was the best year of mine, too.
Here are the lost photos from her birthday photo shoot. We were undecided about which ones to use for the invitations, so we saved a few of our favorites. Seeing these photos is like having an all-access, backstage pass to Stella!

Wheeeeeeeee!
Stella also discovered the joy of being pulled around in a diaper box. Maybe we should get her a wagon.
Stella took her first cruise and visited three foreign countries: Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala.

She visited the zoo in Baton Rouge and marveled at the monkeys.
She enjoyed nature in her own backyard by befriending the ducks.
She hung out with her best buddies, Sadie and Rylie Sharbono.
Later, she partied at the annual family Christmas bash.
She played in the snow.
Had a blast at the Celebration in the Oaks Run. Feel the excitement.
Posed for more pictures...this time for the Christmas cards.
And opened lots of presents on Christmas morning!

The cake was a onesie...Damon LOVED it. (It's a good thing they didn't put decorative snaps on it because the way Damon was inhaling it, he might have choked on one!)

Splish, splash! We took a few baths...
We went swinging in the park for the very first time...
Had lots of fun playing in plastic containers...
Dressed up as a kangaroo with a baby on board for Halloween...
Experiencing the joy of wipes at Grandma Crane's for Thanksgiving...(note seasonal outfit)
Trying to sneak into Grandma's private stash of good stuff...she got caught...
Cousin time with Darren and Savanah...
Thanks for the boost, Jessica!

Mommy and Daddy getting a little Stella and Rylie love.
