Hot Tubbing

Since we moved to a house with a pool, Damon has been dying to add a hot tub.  We finally took the plunge and the project was completed just in time for Damon to still be quarantined from his bout with Covid.  The rest of us took a dip and sent him a selfie in his sickroom...
I know that sounds cruel, but he told us to...
These kids love hot tubbing with the parents, and can't wait to take a soak with both of us!
Check out that steam!

Robert Kelley Pictures

The talented Mr. Robert Kelley photographed the girls for the third year, and as always knocked it out of the park...

Convention Season

Dance convention season is upon us, and this is how I feel about it...
Thankfully we have the sweetest friends to get us through...
Here are the soloists waiting for their turn on the Hollywood Vibe stage...
Enjoying some down time in the Galleria at one of two conventions in Houston this year...
Ready for her solo at Streetz!

Hotel room hijinks in Houston...
All masked up in Houston...did no good...I still brought home Covid...

Competing "Gaga" with her team...
We love seeing school friends at convention...

I caught this of Olivia and Stella waiting backstage for their solos...

Since pigtail French braids were required for their group dances, we set up a beauty salon/assembly line in our hotel room and fixed up all the minis.  I was really proud of Stella for being a servant leader to the little ones...

Flipping out at Hollywood Vibe...
Ready for tap class...

We had a great year competing, learning, and growing at conventions.  Thanks to the other kids having basketball and baseball games, we also got lots of Mother/Daughter time and friend time.  We are extremely thankful that God placed us with some of the sweetest friends who make Pro Company and dance conventions NOTHING like what you see on Dance Moms...

Shooting Some Hoops

So, Cille tried something new this year!  Basketball! I was so proud, because this was my sport in high school, all 5 feet two inches of me. You can imagine how great I was at it.  She and Emma did it together and they were just precious in their uniforms...
Looking at this photo is making me wonder what happened to that sweatshirt.  I have not seen it in a while...

I actually took these photos at one of her brother's games which was scheduled before her game...

And as I mentioned above, Watts played basketball this year also.  It was his first year to play at Sportsplex rather than Istrouma and we quickly discovered that Sportsplex is where all the serious basketball players are.  Our little team of Parkview second graders may have been a little out of their league, but they sure enjoyed their backyard practices and their fun coaches...
And clearly they were the most handsome team...
