Robert Kelley Pictures

For years dance photos have been a source of stress for me.  I have sometimes referred to is as "my most hated day of the year."  It usually involves dragging one or more girls to the studio all made up (not my strong suit) and with about 1,000 costume pieces in tow, changing clothes 85 times, and standing in line for an hour or so to get the shot.  Since the girls are on company this year, they had the opportunity to take photos with a special photographer during a private session.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but I welcomed the fact that they only had to have makeup and a leotard for the photos.  The session was quick and painless, (at least for me) and we goofed off in the backyard and took more photos after the session...
The non-dancer in our family...

Stella, trying to recreate one of her poses from the session...
Corinne, who is too little to take dance yet, had to put on a leo to fit in with the big girls...

Cille showed off her poses as well...

And apparently we ate chicken strips al fresco...

It was a fun day...
And when we got the professional photos back, we were blown away...

What a great experience!  Can't wait to do it again next year.
