New Jammies!

Mawmaw Shirley got Stella some cute new Tinkerbell pajamas and Stella couldn't wait to wear them...

Yes, we do allow our daughter to eat M&M's at bedtime. Judge not until you have potty-trained a mile in our shoes.  We are also trying to use junk food to teach her colors AND alliteration.  Tonight's lesson: yummy yellow!

Now where did I put those shorts?

Have you ever taken something out in order to use it, then gotten sidetracked and lost whatever it was you were planning on using?  Over the past few months, I had been blaming my forgetfulness on pregnancy, and then sleep deprivation, but I think I may have finally identified the real problem.  Today I took out an outfit for Stella to wear and put it in the living room in hopes that I could hunt her down and talk her into putting on something other than pajamas.  After several detours, I finally went back to retrieve the outfit, only to find that I had a shirt but no shorts.  I figured I must have forgotten to get the shorts out, or dropped them on the way, or something like that, but after going back to the drawer and looking all around, I still could not find those shorts.  That is when something purple caught my eye underneath Stella's horsey.  It seems someone else had taken those shorts and put them on...

I guess the next time I lose something I'll have to check all the StellaRaynePourciaus in the house and see if one of them has what I'm looking for. (For those of you who have not been around lately, ALL of our baby dolls are now named Stella Rayne Pourciau, and it is pronounced in rapid succession so that it sounds like one name.)

Happy Birthday, Old Man!

Sunday Cille got a very special treat: she got to go to Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house for the very first time!  The whole family loaded up and set out for Erwinville to celebrate that Old Man's birthday.  What is a birthday party without cake?  Stella made the most of her yummy slice of Mawmaw Shirley's chocolate cake...

We should all be so lucky as to sit shoveling chocolate cake in our mouth while Aunt Lacie holds our juice...

Mmmmm...this is the life...

While Stella was enjoying her sugar rush, this is what Cille was doing...

Cille was already very happy right where she was...



Cille did eventually wake up, though Chad and Alaina do no believe it.  And she actually got a little fussy (for about 30 seconds).  Thank goodness Aunt Ruby was there to calm her down, and make sure that Cille did not obstruct my camera angle...

It was great to be outside the walls of our own home for the first time in a long time and to spend the day celebrating with our family. We love you all!

Rolling Along

Cille hit a milestone this morning...during tummy time she rolled over from her tummy to her back!  Here is the before shot...

A Visit from Pop and Nana

On Friday we had a rare treat: a visit from the Wilsons!  We were so happy to get the chance to spend some time with them.  Here are Pop and Nana, playing nice and sharing the girls...

Cille started smiling a few minutes before the Wilsons arrived.  Pop was able to coax out some of her first smiles.  Then it was Nana's turn...



In spite of that intense look of concentration, Cille loved her Nana and was a good little girl for her.  She didn't even fuss when Tab took her, even though Zach and I remember well that Stella did not have the same reaction to Tab when she was an infant...



Stella graciously prepared tea for her guests...



Then she lured Spencer into her beauty salon...



He's so secure in his masculinity!  (I would like to add that Zach was also on hand for Stella's beauty treatments, but he evacuated the area when the camera came out)



I always wanted four kids, now I guess I have five.  The mature one is sleeping in her carseat...

Matching Outfits

Stella and Cille got all dolled up on Friday in their matching ladybug outfits from Pop and Nana.  They wore these once before, but I did not get a chance to snap a picture.  This time I had the camera handy and the girls did a great job posing together.  Enjoy!
