Pawpaw's Baby

You may have noticed that so far on the blog there have been no pictures of Pawpaw holding Cille.  This is not because he was being punished and was not allowed to hold the baby.  On the contrary, it seems that when he was holding her at the hospital we only managed to snap one picture that was rather unflattering to both grandfather and baby.  After we got home, we fixed that by snapping a few more shots...

One of Stella's favorite games to play is "Whose Baby?"  She will go from person to person and taunt those around her by telling them that she is Pawpaw's baby, or Mawmaw's baby.  It looks like Cille will be loving this game one day, too.  I think Pawpaw is trying to train her early to be on his team...

Cille's First Bath

Okay, so maybe it was not technically her first bath, but it was her first bath at home.  Stella was asleep, so we had all hands on deck for the big event.  Cille loved having her hair washed.  It's so nice and relaxin'...

We have a picture of Stella posed like this and we always say it looks like she is licking icing off her fingers and saying, "Yum!  Cupcakes!"

Cille got to wrap up after her bath in her cute kitty cat towel from Mrs. Yvonne...

Now the baby is clean, but everyone else still needs a bath...

Peek-a-boo! She already knows how to wink!  Our kids are so gifted...

This looks kind of like an ad for Johnson and Johnson...

Happy Birthday, America!

We all know that Stella loves a good birthday celebration, so in honor of the birthday of our nation, I wanted to share a photo of her in her stars and stripes outfit. I snapped this Friday night as she was preparing to attend the fireworks show in Reserve with her daddy and grandparents. We hope your 4th is filled with fun!

More Visitors

Our parade of visitors continues.  John George somehow managed to smuggle food and Talia out of his house for a few hours so that he could have an excuse to come hold the baby.  Talia was pumped up to be near Cille with no competition from her sisters...

When Rosalee stopped by to meet Cille, Stella was a little concerned that Damon and I were leaving, since Rosie is one of her regular babysitters...

"Chad and Alaina got me that..."

On Sunday we had a visit from one of Stella's favorite cousins and his lovely girlfriend.  Chad and Alaina recently went to Disneyworld and brought the girls each a surprise from the happiest place on earth.  Since Stella is somewhat obsessed with Disneyworld and her need to go there, she was very excited about her Princess Minnie Mouse.  She now tells me about once an hour, "Chad and Alaina got me that from Disneyworld!"  Stella is very good about giving people credit for their gifts, even though it is usually misplaced.  For example, every time I dress her, she tells me that Mawmaw and Pawpaw got her that outfit.  I usually have to burst her bubble and tell her that Molly gave her that outfit.  At least this time she is crediting the proper gifters.

Aren't they cute?

Chad loves babies and they love Chad...

Alaina takes a picture with Stella every few months and it's always amazing to see how much Stella grows in between pictures.  She'll be able to tell Cille that she was with her from the very beginning...

Cinderella even stopped by to read Alaina a story...

Thanks for the visit, Chad and Alaina!  Come back and see us soon!

A Gift from Cille

To ease our transition from a single-child family to a multi-child family, some friends of ours suggested that we take a gift to the hospital for Cille to give to her big sister.  I tried to come up with something creative for the gift, because honestly, what can you give to your two year old big sister who already has everything?  I finally decided that we would go with a "seal from Cille," and during a trip to the zoo I snagged a small one from the gift shop.  At the hospital, Stella never really showed any interest in gifts, since there were much more interesting things to do, like ride the mechanical bed.  Finally, after we got home and were unpacking, the time came for Cille to present her gift.  You can just feel her enthusiasm as she "watches" Stella unwrap the surprise...

She likes it!

Going Home Day

Friday Cille got to go home from the hospital.  She decided to get all dolled-up for the occasion...

When big sister Stella arrived, her dress matched Cille's!  Both were so excited!

Such a sweet big sister...

Checking her out...

Holding the two most beautiful girls I have ever seen...

Cheese!

Stella was being "very gentle"...

Kisses for everybody!

Stella even helped get Cille's carseat ready.  She is such a great helper!

Awwww...

Mommy, Daddy, and our big girl...

Mommy, Daddy, and our little girl...

The new and improved Pourciau family of four...

We had to make a quick change before we left and we needed Stella's help...

I think she looks a lot like her big sister in this picture...

Unnecessary wheelchair rides are so fun.  I felt like they should have paged, "We need a carryout in room 169..."

Stella looked back on the hospital and realized it had changed her life forever...

Ready to go!

Everyone was celebrating, from LaPlace all the way to Arkansas!
