Pensacola Beach

We took a quick trip to Pensacola Beach for a weekend of fun and relaxation.  Since Mawmaw and Pawpaw were unavailable for this trip, we did not take as many pictures as we normally do, but we still managed to get a few.  One morning while we were there Damon had the bright idea to go ride jet skis with the girls.  His plan was to drive one himself and have our sweet friend and assistant Maggie drive the other one so that both girls could ride at once.  Unfortunately, the rental place said Maggie would have to be 26 to do this, and since she was nowhere near that age, Damon let the girls take turns riding while the rest of us suffered in the oppressive heat back at the rental place.  Here is my poor baby melting...
He seriously sweats like his dad.  It is gross; no child should sweat this much.  It rolls off of him...
Maggie and Cille were able to put on happy faces in spite of the searing heat...
 Safety first!
 Cille's ride...

 Stella's ride...

Watts repeatedly told me, "I ride!" but since I still consider him a baby I did not allow him to.  I am a very mean mommy.  Later while Watts was napping I used the zoom lens to take paparazzi style photos of the girls playing in the pool...
I seriously felt like a peeping tom while taking these...

Did I mention that Maggie is a certified lifeguard, can shower in under 5 minutes, helps apply sunblock, and doesn't even complain when your kids pour milk in her lap?  If you are planning a beach trip, you should seriously consider taking her with you...

 Stella doing a handstand...
Daddy played in the pool, too...
The hotel that we stayed at was awesome for the kids.  It was the Holiday Inn Resort in Pensacola and everyday they had an entire schedule of fun activities planned for the kids.  Pirates performed for 2 hours every day, and then mermaids swam in the pool for another 2 hours.  The girls were all about the mermaids...

But as exciting as the mermaids were, Daddy was still their favorite playmate...
