Disney Day 2, Part 2

We spent our second day at Disney in the Hollywood Studios park. Here are Damon and I discussing a little "strategery"...
We had never "baby-worn" either of our girls before, but we decided that with Cille being so small, a carrier might be a little easier than a stroller.  Of course, she absolutely loved being attached to me.  The only problem is that since we came home, she has super-separation anxiety and bawls every time I leave her sight.  We'd like to send a special thanks to Danny, Anna, and Lilly, whose carrier we borrowed.  Here Cille is catching some z's in the carrier.  I was pretending to sleep, but I was really so worn our during this entire trip that I probably could have fallen asleep standing up at any time...
We also got a child-carrier for Stella.  Remember that Stella weighs at least 40 pounds.  At least, I said.  So when you strap on this pack with Stella and all our gear for the day stashed in it, you feel a lot like a pack mule.  Hee-haw...
Stella was a little shy about meeting Mulan...

But she dove right into Mickey's arms...
We ended the day with the luau at the Polynesian.  Stella got on stage twice: once to dance the hula and once because she was celebrating her birthday...
Although the luau was one of the activities that we said we would skip next time, it is pretty much the only thing Stella has talked about since we came back. They had this guy who ate fire there and she absolutely was amazed by that. Just ask Jamie. Stella told her the story 83 times one night while we were having dinner.

I had never thought about you not baby wearing before but I noticed that something about the photos looked new to me! :-) You look so natural wearing Cille! We can't live without our carriers...especially since we don't have a double stroller and it seems like so many places we go just don't accommodate strollers very well anyway. Audrey would love be worn on Evan's back in a backpack carrier like Stella! Oh I keep forgetting to tell you that there is a Stella that lives right behind us. Audrey wants to hang out with her all the time. She will be 3 in April and she has a baby sister too. God sent us a Stella since our other Stella lives so far away. :-(

I know this post is old, but what did you do with Stella's carrier on rides? I am nervous about leaving our frame backpack with the strollers.

Honestly, I cannot remember clearly what we did with the pack, but I will say that I would feel comfortable leaving it with the strollers. We actually used the pack for only about the first two days and then rented a stroller because it was too difficult to get Stella in and out of the pack. In subsequent Disney trips we have taken our double jog stroller, which was a much bigger investment and we have always felt comfortable leaving it in stroller parking. I am not saying that theft is impossible in the happiest place on earth, but it has been my experience that the great majority of people there are there for the right reason and aren't really interested in your baby gear aside from just admiring it. Have a fun trip!
