Be Our Guest!

We received a formal invitation to a very exciting event, and when we arrived they had the cutest little girl passing out programs...
That's right, it was time for Corinne's T1 End of Year Program.  The theme was "Be Our Guest" and we really got the royal treatment from these kiddos...
Corinne had 10 boys in her class this year and only one girl besides herself!
She and Luke have older siblings in the same class so they have been together for a long time already...

If her teacher Mrs. Kemp looks familiar, it's because she was Watts' kindergarten teacher also!  We love her so much! Mrs. Kemp also has an excellent blog that chronicles Corinne's entire year in T1 in case you just can't get enough Coco content here...
Corinne and Rayne are the sweetest best friends!  I am so glad they had each other this year and hope they can stay just as close until senior year!

Au revoir, T1!

Headlines Don't Sell Papes, Newies Sell Papes!

"Look at her, she's the queen of New York!"  Newsies is such a dance heavy show that it was perfect for our little hoofers.   Mr. Ron Moore with Rempics was sweet enough to take action shots during a couple of performances, and they were amazing...

Keep in mind folks, this is a high school show!

The level of synchronization that they were able to achieve blew my mind! Three out of four of the dancers in this photo are in college, and then there's Stella...

This special effect was the coolest...

This looks just like the photo above, but it's not!  If you look closely, their hands are bent differently.  That's just how in sync these kids were every single performance...

Great job, Fine Arts Department!  From Mrs. Kaiser, to Mrs. Smith, to Tranane and Londyn and the entire cast, everyone did a magical job on this show!  Encore!

P.S. If you're wondering why there aren't any shots of Cille, she was in the show every night also, but she and several of her friends were very hard to tell apart, and they mostly had supporting roles, so they only made it into the big group shots.  Her day will come!

Seize the Day

Months of rehearsal culminated in one of my favorite Parkview musicals to date, Newsies! Our entire family are big fans of the movie and the musical.  The first time Watts saw it at the Saenger he was small enough to sit on my lap and he rocked back and forth during every musical number.  Our kids have danced  in the living room with brooms for years to this show, so it was awesome for two of them to finally "Seize the Day" and be in it...

Stella's Junior Stepper coach Londyn was in the show with her, and lots of the team came out to support them...
Madeline couldn't miss her babies on stage...

Payton came out to cheer them on...

Cast photo...

Stella's other mama...

Can you tell at Parkview we love each other a little bit?  The way the kids pose standing cheek to cheek is a pose we like to call "Parkview Face"...

Dressed like boys but still gorgeous...

These Newsies aren't done yet!  They performed the show 8 times, so we have a couple more headlines coming at you!
