Cille's 6th Birthday Party, Part 1

For our 6th annual celebration of Cille, we had a book-themed party.  Here's the beautiful birthday girl...

Lots of people we love came to celebrate with us...

I was kind of at a loss for what to put on the cake, so we modified the library plate invitation that we used from the PBS kids website with a Dr. Seuss quote...

Cille was our first birthday kid this year to get to try out the new lotus birthday candles. They play "Happy Birthday" and rotate, so they are super fun...

There is quite the large flame when you first light the candle, though, so we all stood back...

Wow!

Cille conducted the group in singing "Happy Birthday" to her.  What a ham!

Blowing out all those moving candles took a lot of effort...

Since it was about a million degrees outside, we set up a couple of crafts inside, including these fun corner bookmarks...

Caroline's monster was almost as cute as she is, but not quite...
