Playing with Uncle Dub

In August we had a visit from Mawmaw's brother and his wife, Uncle Dub and Aunt Pam.  They made the trip all the way from North Carolina!  Uncle Dub has a sweet granddaughter of his own, so he knows a thing or two about what little girls like...

The last time he visited he played "I'm Gonna Getcha" with the girls and when she found out he was coming back Stella brought it up.  The girls were so excited to play this game that eventually Uncle Dub could just look their direction and reduce them to squeals and giggles...

Apparently Mawmaw is base in this game...

Cille got so worked up she finally went and hid in her room...

But eventually she came back to give him five!

The girls had a blast.  I hope Uncle Dub is spending his time resting up for his next visit.  He'll need all his energy once Watts is old enough to join the game.

Stella's First Day of Kindergarten

As Rapunzel would say, "This is a very big day, Pascal!" It's Stella's first day of kindergarten!  I dug out my signs that I printed last year when she started pre-K and couldn't resist snapping a picture of those last few sweet minutes of slumber as a carefree kid before her first day of big school...

Luckily I left my 4th of July swag up and it conveniently matches her school colors (Go Eagles!) so it made the perfect backdrop for her picture in her uniform.  Izzy was starting school that day, too, and she wears a uniform even though she is homeschooled...

How excited is she?

We had a disagreement over her hair.  I wanted her to wear a gigantic navy and red bow and she wanted to wear this.  I relented.  It was her first day after all, not mine...

I couldn't decide which picture was the cutest so I am blogging them ALL! Enjoy, Grandparents!

We dropped off Watts and Cille first so we could focus on the big girl...

Stella and her sweet teacher.  When I asked who her favorite person in her class was she said, "Counting the teacher or not counting the teacher?"  Counting the teacher, it is the teacher.  She now pretends to be Ms. Chelette all the time at home...

Watts's Birthday Party, Part 3
