The Beach

Welcome, Summer!  We have missed you so!  Although being quarantined for the last couple of months and attending school virtually kind of made this feel like the longest summer ever.  After all that time cooped up at home, we could not wait to hit the beach!  It's our favorite! 

I force the poor kids to take about 87 photos before they can actually get into the water...Oh, yes, I am THAT MOM...

Dance Recital (Sort Of)

In olden times, we got gussied up in our dance costumes and headed to the studio to have photos taken for the recital program, then over a few days in May we had dress rehearsals and multiple recital performances in a whirlwind end to the dance year.  Thanks to Covid, costumes were ordered, but photos never happened, and a recital was not even remotely possible.  The girls had still worked hard all year and learned and grown as dancers, so to commemorate our non-recital, we put on our costumes and took photos in the backyard...

Beautiful, ladies!  We'll try again next year! 
 

School Awards

The end of school looked a lot different than normal.  We celebrated the end of the year with a drive through parade to pick up awards...

Cille totally racked up.  She's one smart cookie! 

Stella did awesome as well.  She won the Leadership Award for her entire grade, which is a huge honor.  Only a few character awards are given out each year and we were so proud that she received one...

All the teachers from her grade level came to our house to deliver her award...

Watts had his class award ceremony on Zoom...

We were so proud of our little buddy!  He worked so hard this year! 

Way to go, kiddos!  Keep doing whatever your hand finds to do with all your might to bring glory to your creator!  
 

Mother's Day and More Fun

As our time at home dragged on and on, our children's minister at church got creative and delivered decorate your own donut kits to the kids from our favorite Baton Rouge donut shop, Thee Heavenly Donut...

He was bored, we were bored, so our favorite librarian came over and spent the day with us...

Corinne found lots of ways to entertain herself.  She taught school to her babies in a variety of locations...

They played board games...

Read books...

Had picnics...

And enjoyed those new swings that just happened to be my Mother's Day presents...
