Cousin Time

After Christmas we set out on a hunting adventure in Texas, so of course we stopped to visit with our cousins on the way...

The boys...Watts was glad for some backup...

Christmas Day

Christmas morning was full of nice surprises!  Like this giant teddy bear for Watts...

We made all the kids sleep upstairs so we could make preparations without disturbing anyone...

Stella gets extra points for enthusiasm...

Corinne got a horse stable for her babies...

We wrapped up the present opening with birthday breakfast for Jesus, which was served more around lunchtime...

We had a low-key day at home enjoying each other and letting the kids play with new toys.  The day was pretty exhausting for Watts...

We also put together a puzzle Christmas Eve night, so we had to snap a pic before we destroyed the entire living room with gift wrap...

Watts' bedroom may have to be renamed the game room...

If only one of us knew how to work this thing...

Gifts among the siblings make everything take a little longer.  One of his sisters sure knows the way to his heart...

Christmas Eve

The tree was trimmed and the packages placed underneath...

One of our Christmas Eve traditions is birthday cake for Jesus.  Stella really went above and beyond this year in her cake decorating...

The pics are a little out of order, but this was Corinne's "gold" gift...a horse stable for her baby dolls...We did not set this up until the kids were in bed...

We had lots of great family time eating gumbo and potato salad...

Stella prepares stockings for her siblings each year, so they were placed on the couch with care...

'Twas the night before Christmas...

Why are there 5? Because I am the stocking filler and mine is always empty!  I think the reason I am so obsessive about the stockings is that my parents consistently forgot to fill ours when we were kids...

We also attended the Christmas Eve service at Parkview...

Christmas with Pop and Nana

The holidays can get super busy, but they are supposed to be about spending time with those that you love, right?  Thank goodness we were able to carve out a night to celebrate with Pop and Nana.  They brought a chocolate fountain and the kids ate their weight in liquid chocolate...

We played games and Stella got a toilet light.  All in all, it was a fun and memorable night!
