Great Wolf Lodge

It was a little demoralizing as a parent when I checked into Great Wolf Lodge and they told me, "Welcome back for your 4th visit!"  Have we really endured over-chlorination and Magiquest 3 times already? I guess they're right.  But we did learn something on those previous trips.  Parenting Lesson #312: Do not spend the entire vacation at GWL, use it as the "kiss goodnight" at the end of the trip.  You see, if you spend the entire vacation there, the children just want to stay at the resort and show complete indifference for say, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.  If you just spend a night or two, you can do your other activities first and they will still have time to enjoy the Lodge.  Tip for next time: Don't let the kids know ahead of time that the trip is ending with GWL, that way you won't endure them asking about it every five minutes for the duration of the vacation...
We obviously did not take our phones into the waterpark (well, I didn't), so all our photos are from the other fun things we did...
Note to potential GWL guests: the Colorado Springs location does not have a hot tub.  One of the rock climbing parents was very sad to discover this, and it was not the one writing this blog, if you know what I mean...

We had a fantastic trip to Colorado Springs and really enjoyed our family time!
