Spring Break in Sandy Annio, Part 2

We also visited the Japanese Chinese Tea Garden while in Sandy Annio.  This place is special to me because when I was a kid my grandparents took the girl grandkids on a vacation to San Antonio and this was one of the places that we visited.  It was a rock quarry that a family turned into a beautiful Japanese style tea garden, but then World War II happened and Americans had some pretty bad attitudes (deservedly so) about the Japanese, so they literally just changed the sign to say "Chinese Tea Garden."  Whatever the nationality, the garden is beautiful and it is a perfect place for kids to climb and explore...

We also took a boat ride down the river...

Watts did some hanging around at the Buckhorn Saloon...
Two thumbs up for taking your own path, even if it means sometimes ending up on the wrong side of the fence...

We also had a delicious meal and took in some great views at the restaurant atop Tower of the Americas...

This building was sold for $12 during the depression.  That's quite the deal...

Corinne used Mawmaw's phone to take about 8,743 photos at the garden, and a couple of hilarious videos that Mawmaw probably doesn't want shared on the internet...

Corinne made sure to included several selfies...

Locked up at the Buckhorn...

Their jailer is pretty vicious...

We're having a great family trip in Sandy Annio!
