La La Land

Damon and I found ourselves with some business to take care of in Los Angeles, so after we worked we squeezed in a little play in the great outdoors.  Our first stop was Stoney Point Park, where we had a fun scramble up the rocks since our climbing equipment was at home...

We were pretty high up in these pictures, which isn't easy to capture, but the size of the cars passing behind Damon should give you some perspective...

The weather was gorgeous and we really enjoyed ourselves...
We stopped by the Sky Slide, which had great views, but was a little underwhelming as a slide experience.  Next we took a guided hike to the highest point in the Hollywood Hills and explored lots of Griffith Park, which was awesome.  When I say "lots" I mean it, because the hike took about 3 hours and we were legit hiking the entire time.  We got a great view of the Hollywood sign, and these other signs that made me a little nervous...
We also enjoyed a breathtaking sunset and took a quick tour of the Griffith Observatory.
This was our second short visit to LA and I must say that I really enjoy the vibe of the city.  I can't wait until the kids are a little older so that we can explore it with them!
