Thanksgiving at PBS

One of the joys of my sabbatical has been being able to join Stella and Cille at school for field trips and parties.  The week before Thanksgiving it was time for their classes to celebrate Turkey Day.  Daddy and Watts were able to join the fun, too.  Stella's party started first.  She chose the Native American name "Deer Star" for herself.  Star because Stella means star and she knows this very well, and Deer in honor of Pawpaw because he likes to hunt deer.  Not sure she really gets that whole hunting concept yet.  This may also be a good time to mention that our little star is currently telling people she's going to be on stage when she is 6...
Stella was eager to show off her pine cone turkey...

She posed for some of her friends to take pictures...
Watts was having a blast nearby...
The Thanksgiving party was also a celebration of Miss Aphra's last day. She has been Stella's afternoon teacher all year.  She gave all the kids awards at the party and Stella won the "Most Likely to End Up on Broadway" Award.  After all the awards had been distributed, Stella ran up to give Miss Aphra a hug and the "Miss Aphra Award," ostensibly given for, well, being Miss Aphra...
Next it was on to this little injun's party...
Is she an Indian?  Is she a chipmunk?  Who knows?
Cille also made a pine cone turkey craft...
