Going Home?

On Thursday morning it was time for our stay at the hospital to end, but when the pediatrician visited Watts that morning, he was a little jaundiced.  This had never happened with the girls, so of course Daddy and I went into full freak-out mode.  Daddy tried his hardest to persuade the nurses to let us stay until the next time they could test Watts (at 60 hours), but for some reason they were really in a hurry to get rid of us.  Imagine that?  Who would want us to leave?

Daddy probably won't like this picture, but I think it is sweet so I am posting it...two of my favorite guys...
Mawmaw and Pawpaw came to the hospital to help us with loading the car and checking out...
Watts was very handsome in his going home outfit...

I did not fix my hair that day, so that's why it's a little out there...okay, a lot...
The hospital was so new that the nurses got us lost on the way from the delivery room to our regular room, and again on the way from our regular room to the car...Did I mention that I always feel like an idiot riding in a wheelchair when I am perfectly capable of walking?
Normally we have about 100 pictures of us leaving the hospital, but let's just say that the security is a little tighter at Woman's than it is at River Parishes and there were not that many photo ops on the way down, what with the threats of arrest and all (L-O-N-G story.)  Instead, here is Watt's first trip up the driveway with Daddy...
The hospital really treated Daddy like a second class citizen and insisted that I carry Watts everywhere, so I let Daddy have a turn with the little guy when we got home...
Watts was worn out from all the excitement, so he caught some z's on his changing pad...
Better store up some energy...your sisters will be home soon...
