The Christmas Tree Farm, Part 1

Welcome to part one of my three part series on this year's visit to the Christmas tree farm. We've been taking so many pictures lately that I figured I should stretch some of that photographic magic over several posts instead of numbing your mind with one extra-long buffet of pictures. You may remember that we have procured our trees from farms since Stella's first Christmas. This year was our second visit to Yawn Station.  We chose to visit them again basically because of the young man on the far right in their website's group shot.  His name is Brad and he is awesome!  Brad really went the extra mile for us last year, riding Stella on the "train" as much as she wanted and catching countless chickens for her to pet.  She had such a blast that we were willing to overlook the fact that most of the trees were a little on the small side.  We could not wait to return this year.  Cille was obviously very excited about the outing based on everything we told her beforehand...
Let's go get a tree!
Check out that form and joy of running...cross country, here we come!
I love it!
Cille was a little trepidatious about the train, but she still looked like a cozy little princess.  Rock that crown, girl...
Stella found some trees that were just her size.  We got a large tree, thinking she would like that, but ever since we got it home she has repeatedly told me that she does not want it.  She says she wants a little tree.  Go figure...
Stella may be a giant in this picture.  Or a bridge troll.  Or Prince Edward.  It's sometimes hard to tell who she is from minute to minute...
I am sure she was giving this older child some serious schooling on how to properly fill a pail with sand...
I like this picture of Damon and Cille.  Don't these clothes look nice on Damon?  Thanks, Uncle Chad...
Oh, yeah, I was there, too. Complete with a pacifier clipped to my shirt.  No outfit is complete without that...
Prepare yourself for the next post, in which we actually choose a tree!
